History

ABN AMRO Investment Solution is a pioneer of the Open Architecture. Our model has changed over the last 20 years, adapting and optimising the offered solutions. AAIS story begins in 1998 and it is has now entered a new phase with an Open Architecture 2.0.

How does it start?

1998

Creation of Asset Allocation Advisors (AAA), 1st French independent multi-management structure, 1st multi-management funds under French law

1996 – 2014

AAIS became the sole asset manager for the ABN AMRO Bank following the merger between 1996 and 2014 of four management companies: NSM Gestion (1996), Asset Allocation Advisors (1998), OBC Gestion (2006) and Neuflize Private Assets (2014)

2015

A new governance structure : executive board composed of a Chairman (Stephane Corsaletti) and two Managing Directors (François-Xavier Gennetais, COO and Eric Ebermeyer CIO)

2017

ABN AMRO Bank makes sustainable development the guiding principle of its strategy for all its businesses. AAIS expands its selection of SRI strategies

2018

AAIS delegates its historical direct management investment activities to Candriam Investments in order to focus on its multi-manager investment platform

2019

François-Xavier Gennetais, Chief Operations Officer since 2015, is appointed Chief Executive Officer

2020

The company is managed by a Managing Board composed of a Chairman (François-Xavier Gennetais appointed in 2019) and two Managing Directors (Eric Ebermeyer, CIO, and Elisa Alonso Sanz, COO since July 2020). The Managing Directors are supported by an Executive Committee consisting of Bob Hendriks as Chief Commercial Officer and Olivier Leguay as Chief Administrative Officer

 

Digital Due Diligence platform, a digital platform for Operational Due Diligence & Manager Selection

2022

Julien Garnier is appointed Chief Risk Officer and becomes a member of the Executive Committee

 

Implementation of BlackRock Aladdin® to unify AAIS investment management processes

2023

Christophe Boucher is appointed Chief Investment Officer and becomes a member of the Managing Board
